1 Fri Cloudy and cold with a NW wind. Signs of a storm.

2 Sat Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. Very foggy and signs of rain. Me and Harden drove to Blaine with the double team. I took my dinner at King’s. Took a tub of butter to Bubar’s & Brown & Co.

3 Sun Cold with a SE wind and rain all day and still raining at bedtime and very foggy. Fields almost bare. Sheep browsing in the fields. Not such a season for many years past.

4 Mon SE rain all the previous night and all day with a little mixture of soft snow in the afternoon. I was mending my pung and choring. So ends the day.

5 Tue Cloudy with a cold NW wind. I was home all day. Harden went to Knoxford with Mrs. Bartley. Richard Bell brought sheep home. Alice and Helen Gilman here today to dinner. Evelyn Fulton called in today.

6 Wed Cloudy and cool with a NE wind. Signs of a storm this morning. I went up to Jim’s this morning to help Harden put up a load of potatoes to take out to Fred Lowell’s for 50 cents per bbl. commenced snowing this evening from the East.

7 Thu Cool with a SE rain commencing in the night. Rained all the forenoon. I put up a load of potatoes to go to Blaine tomorrow. Fred Blackden came and got his logs this afternoon.

8 Fri Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. I took 8 12 bbls of potatoes to Blaine this morning to Fred Lowell at 50 cents per bbl. Paid him $2.45 I owed him. Got boiler griddle and stove boiler.

9 Sat Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. Myself and wife went out on a visit to W.W. Larabee’s today. I settled with York & Luce and came home. It commenced snowing about six o’clock this eve.

10 Sun Clear and cold with a NW wind. I was home all day. Harden and his family here this afternoon. He was bothered with his tooth bleeding.

11 Mon Clear and cold with a NW wind. Me and Harden was hauling most all day. There is some signs of a storm tonight. The wind out of the SE.

12 Tue Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. Me and Harden was hauling wood all day. Signs of more rain tonight. We put on a 20 cent lamp flue tonight for the first.

13 Wed Warm with a NE snowstorm all the previous night and all day today. There was a Pie Sociable at Mahan’s tonight. Signs of rain tonight.

14 Thu A cool SE rain commencing in the night. Rained all day today and still raining at bedtime. John Aheran got sheep today. Very warm this evening. I finished Forry’s moggans.

(Forry: Forest Burton Fulton, the first born of Harden and Annie (Bartley) Fulton, was born January 28, 1887. Grandfather Robert learned the trade of cobler from his father Samuel Fulton who owned andpracticed tanning in Truro, Nova Scotia.)

15 Fri Cold with a NE wind in the fournoon. It commenced to snow about noon and snowed and blowed all the afternoon. I was home all day. Harden was helping saw wood with Roger Hawksley for Hutchinson.

16 Sat Clear and cold with a NW wind. I was home all day sawing wood at the door. Harden was helping Roger Hawksley finish sawing Hutchinson’s wood.

17 Sun Cloudy and cool with a SE wind. G. W. Fulton and wife from Presque Isle, here tonight.

18 Mon Cloudy and cool with a SE wind. Signs of a storm in the morning. G.W. Fulton and wife left here this morning. I went out to the Post Office and stopped at W.W. Larrabee’s and took dinner. It begun to snow this evening.

19 Tue Cold with a NE snowstorm all night and all day and still snowing at bedtime. It snowed near two feet and drifting bad. Too bad to drive our stock to water.

20 Wed Clear and cold with a NW wind. Roads very bad. Harden was away three hours breaking roads. Then he went out to the store for Alf Gillen.

21 Thu Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. Signs of a storm. I was home all day. Dr. A.J. Fulton came here this evening to give his mother some medicine. George’s wife here tonight.

22 Fri Some clouds with a cold SE wind. James W. Fulton and wife called here today. Signs of anotherstorm. G.W. Fulton and wife here.

23 Sat Cloudy and cold with a SE wind and snow most all day. Me and Harden drove out to Blaine. I got medicine from A.J. Fulton for my wife. Took up a note at B.F. Pierce today. Gave note 10 months.

24 Sun Cloudy and cold with a NW wind. Signs of more snow. G.W. Fulton and his wife left here this afternoon for their home in Presque Isle after being away two weeks.

25 Mon Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. It snowed some in the night and today both. I was home all day choring. Harden was working the team hauling wood and logs.

26 Tue Cold and snowing this morning from the NE and snowed some all day. It fell about two or three inches. I was home all day hewing out sled runners. So ends the day.

27 Wed Cloudy and cold with a NW wind and drifting bad. Me and Harden was working at sled runners for the tote sled.

28 Thu Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. Signs of more snow. I was home all day. Harden was breaking road some today with the team.

29 Fri Mostly clear with a SW wind. I was home all day. Harden and wife and family went to Knoxford today and back. Mr. Straight here to dinner, after oil. Got my lease of Tinker.

30 Sat Cloudy and cold with a SE wind. I was home all day. Harden says he saw a robin yesterday andone today. Perry O. Cox here tonight. Signs of a storm. Mrs. J.W. Fulton called.

31 Sun Cloudy and cold with a NW wind. Perry Cox here all night. W.W. Larrabee and wife and daughter,Mary Ann Lindsey, Fred Blackden & Wife and two children and Harden & wife and children here today.
